Confronted with the prospect of a two-stud stand, enraptured by Rurik's kisses and Jeff's speculative glower, Carolina debates with her protesting conscience. At stake? The night of her life. The prize? More orgasms than she knows what to do with.

About Larissa Lyons With a penchant for sexy, studly cowboys and rowdy, roaring rogues, Larissa is happiest when writing about strong men with a weakness for the right woman.
She loves cats, chocolate, and her husband - though not necessarily in that order (brownies rank in there somewhere, as do James Bond films). She's been a clown, a tax analyst, and a pig castrator >^..^<, but none of those endeavors satisfy quite like putting pen to paper and seeing her stories come to life.

An Interview with Larissa Lyons
By Holly Hewson for The Romance Studio
HH: Larissa, thank you for talking with us at TRS. Please tell us about your featured book, My Two-Stud Stand. Where did you get the idea for this sizzling story?LL: Hi Holly! It's always great to visit with you and your readers. :-) The idea for My Two-Stud Stand originated back in 2006 when I originally wrote a much shorter version for a call for erotic stories with a theme of "Sex with Strangers".
From the moment I attended my first live game, I've been a big fan of hockey. My sister dated a pro player for a while (and she certainly shared some interesting insights!) so when faced with the fantasy concept of having sex with a stranger, my mind got a little creative and decided why not with two?
HH: What do you like best about Carolina and how will readers relate to her? LL: I like how Carolina has insecurities, both about herself and her sexual performance (mostly thanks to a crummy ex-boyfriend), but she's not willing to let those stop her from having the night of her life. I hope readers will relate to her courage, and since the story is told in first person, be whisked away for a fantasy of their own.
HH: What do you like about Rurik and Jeff and why will readers love them? LL: I think these guys are a hoot. It's obvious they care about each other but also obvious they have very different opinions when it comes to women and sex. Jeff doesn't consider himself a "player" anymore, so when Rurik, in theory, drops Carolina in his lap, it's a struggle for Jeff to decide exactly what to do with her. And who can deny the appeal of a Russian hunk with a sexy accent? I can't (and neither can Carolina!).
HH: This is part of the Exotika line at Ellora's Cave. What can you tell us about this line of works and why you submitted to it? LL: Unlike the other titles with EC that are erotic romance and therefore always end with a HEA, the Exotica line is straight erotica. My other published stories are very romantic. I tend to have a lot of emotion along with hot action in the bedroom. :-) But for Carolina and her two studs, this story was intended to be a hot, sexy read, not necessarily a romantic one.
HH: What else do you have in the works? LL: Several things, including a follow-up to Carolina's night of passion with her two studs. :-) I'm putting the finishing touches on a sensual Regency, Lady Scandal, that will be released later this month. I'm also doing some preliminary work on the next Bottoms Up cowboy story and heading down the home stretch on a M/M story set in the late 1980s.
HH: What is your ultimate goal as a writer? LL: Ooooo, what a question. Wouldn't mind banking a million or more off my writing and have that fully stocked cabin in the mountains I could retreat to every summer. Actually, I would love to learn how to balance taking care of myself (better nutrition, daily meditation, that dreaded word...exercise) with producing fantastic stories a bit faster.
This speed thing, though, is something I think just about every author struggles with. Whether you write 10,000 words a month (my average speed) or 10,000 words a week, authors always wish they wrote faster. Speed aside, I've learned to be pretty damn happy every time I write a scene and my characters make me laugh out loud. What a wonderful feeling!
HH: What do you enjoy most about the writing itself? LL: Ah, that last answer led me directly to this one. I LOVE it when a character or scene shocks the crap out of me. When something happens on the page that two minutes before -- heck, even 30 seconds before -- I had no idea it was about to. That's probably my favorite part. (Well, that and receiving a glowing review from a reader who says something that came out of my crazy, frantic brain touched them in a way that made them think, made them laugh, or made them want to read more. :-)
HH: What advice would you give to aspiring writers today? LL: Keep moving forward, whatever your pace, AND study the craft of writing. I'm currently working through some writing advice from online instructor Margie Lawson, and even though I've been published now for over five years (gracious, has it been that long?), Margie's lessons on writing "fresh" are definitely adding some new sparkle to my prose.
HH: What are you reading right now? LL: Oh, a lot! I can never seem to concentrate on just one story (writing or reading them!). Here are the four I'm reading now:
A Hellion in Her Bed by Sabrina Jeffries, Pleasure Me by Monica Burns, Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake by Sarah MacLean, and (probably most importantly, given the state of my home) It's All Too Much by Peter Walsh.
HH: Any fun plans for the summer? LL: Nope, no plans for the summer, but I do have a friend coming for a visit later this month, someone I met through an online writing class who's flying out to my neck of the woods just so we can say "howdy" in person. I can't wait!
Holly, thanks again to you and everyone here at TRS for the chance to share more about my stories. >^..^< Larissa
HH: Thank you!
