Reviews for Protect and Serve: Savage Wolf
"Protect and Serve: Savage Wolf is a hot and entertaining read. It’s a short story condensed with the elements romance readers look for when they need that short shot of woo-hoo on the wild side. The best part is that I had a fun time reading this story. Wolf and Natalie are so good together and even their happily ever after fit them to a tee. How can you beat that?" - Whipped Cream Reviews

About Silvia Violet Silvia writes erotic romance and erotica in a variety of genres including sci fi, paranormal, and historical. She can often be found haunting coffee shops looking for the darkest, strongest cup of coffee she can find. Once equipped with the needed fuel, she can happily sit for hours pounding away at her laptop. Silvia typically leaves home disguised as a suburban stay-at-home-mom, and other coffee shop patrons tend to ask her hilarious questions like "Do you write children's books?" She loves watching the looks on their faces when they learn what she's actually up to. When not writing, Silvia enjoys baking sinful chocolate treats, exploring new styles of cooking, and reading children's books to her wickedly smart offspring.

An Interview with Silvia Violet
By Katie Raines for The Romance Studio
KR: Silvia, thank you so much for talking with us. Your featured book is Savage Wolf and is part of the Protect and Serve series at Changeling Press. First, what can you tell us about this multi-author series?SV: The Protect and Serve series is the brainchild of the fabulous Lena Austin. The stories all have heroes who are firemen, cops, or other uniformed service personnel and they all contain an element of the paranormal. I fell in love with the first stories in the series and the use of alternating first person point of view in each story.
KR: How did Savage Wolf come to be part of the series and where did the idea for it come from?
SV: After reading several Protect and Serve stories, I toyed around with the idea of writing one, and I knew my hero would be a werewolf cop. Then I was chatting with Cynthia Sax, author of Badge Bunny, and she encouraged me to go for it with my story even though I had a full writing calendar. I loved the humor in these stories so pairing up a werewolf with a deer shifter seemed like a perfect way to bring in some laughs. Natalie and Wolf then took me by storm. I've never written a book as fast as this one flew from my mind to the keyboard.
KR: What can you tell us about Aidan and why will readers be drawn to him? SV: Aidan, better know as "Wolf" is a take-no-prisoners alpha male but he's decided to work for the good guys. If you're on the wrong side of the law, he's scary as hell but if you're up for a wild ride in bed with a dominating wolf, he's your man. Wolf is unapologetically alpha. He takes what he wants and isn't afraid to bend the rules to get it.
KR: What can you tell us about your heroine and why will readers relate to her? SV: Natalie is doing the best she can to support herself and her brother in a failing economy. When her brother is taken prisoner, she's willing to do anything to save him. She's sweet and caring but she also has a wild side. She likes her sex hard and rough and she's not afraid to ask for what she needs. Wolf is a fantasy come true for her.
KR: Will you be contributing future stories to this series? SV: I am currently writing Natalie's brother's story. It's my first m/m and it's titled Sex on the Hoof and will be available this summer.
KR: What else do you have in the works? SV: I'm revisiting the world of my Shifter's Station collection and I have a m/m/f short story for this new series, Shifter's Galaxy, coming out in May. I'm also finishing up edits on Seduction of the Captain, a BDSM sci fi. It will be available from Loose Id in the summer. Other stories vying for my attention include one featuring a cuttlefish shifter and a sci fi story involving intergalactic spies.
KR: With the rising popularity of ebook readers and devices like the iPad, what changes do you see coming in the romance genre?
SV: I think that more and more books will be published in electronic form only and markets will continue to open up for writers since publishers can produce ebooks with much less expense than printed books.
KR: As a romance reader, what sort of stories do you personally prefer?
SV: I like paranormal and sci fi, but lately I've been reading a lot of m/m suspense. I love stories with strong characters who have to work through the power dynamics of their relationship.
KR: Tell us about the best fan mail (email) you've ever gotten. SV: A reader once told me that she thought the characters in Shifter's Station were so real she could literally feel their emotions as she read. What writer wouldn't want to hear that? :)
KR: What are your favorite hobbies/activities these days? SV: Creating in the kitchen is relaxing for me. I like all types of cooking, but baking is my passion. I love coming up with new types of cookies, cakes, muffins, and scones. I also read as much as I can and I love to hike.
KR: Thank you!
