Sebastian Kynser is severely beaten by his ex-lover. He barely survives the escape to Alaska where a friend has a hideaway. Upon arrival he's in dire straits, near collapse.
With help from some of the locals, including pub owner Rory Blevins, his life changes for the better. When things take a dangerous turn it seems all is lost. Life has a way of
surprising you.
After reading the author's blurb I was determined to read this book. I liked it a lot. From the dramatic beginning to the equally dramatic ending I was riveted. Sebastian's
wounds and his struggle from such a cruel and savage act is vividly detailed. The pacing keeps with the beat of the story. Sebastian and Rory are sweet together, very smart
on the author's part to create something really beautiful from all the ugliness. Good supporting characters help drive the story and certainly are necessary in enhancing the plot.
I liked the Native American folklore aspect of the story too, added to my enjoyment immensely. The ending will give you chills, thrills and a few other emotional turns. This is one
you don't want to put down until you're done. I hope there's a continuation of Sebastian's and Rory's story.
