Pamela Ashburton tripped and fell to the floor on her very first night of coming out at a country ball. Her mother Alvinia was angry and ashamed. She berated Pamela until the young woman was overly embarrassed. Shamed, Pamela chose to go to live with her Aunt Honoria whitehurst in Little Heigham in Worcestershire. Her aunt is wonderful to her and made up for never having a London season. Pamela vowed she would never dance again. And had realized she was going to be spinster forever. Then one day riding in the woods she met Major Will Forsythe her new neighbor. Will had been wounded in the war at Waterloo and had become a hermit. Will Pamela bring him out of his doldrums? Will he take away her shame she is carrying deep inside?

This is a short novella that caught me in it's grip from the beginning. I thoroughly enjoy the characters of old England that Ms. Bancroft wrote so well. Mistletoe Moment is a very enjoyable tale that proves there is always that special love out there for anyone. I would like to see Ms. Bancroft write a longer novel for she is very talented and it would help her writing grow.

For anyone that likes a wonderful no sex romance, please read this novella. It's heartwarming and a fun read!
