Dane is a police officer who suffered a great loss and now he risks his life in dangerous operations. When his boss asks him to go undercover to investigate the deaths of young people connected to the club Punch Back, he dioesn't hesitate. When Dane meets Steele, co-owner of the club, an attraction between them is born. But the fact that Steele is a suspect in the murders may be an obstacle for them.

Punch Back's cover was the first thing that caught my attention for the book. Normally, I do not pay attention to the covers (they are almost in last place in what I look for in a book). But in this case, the cover and the blurb that made me choose this book. The beginning of the story was promising. The decadent atmosphere of the club, the savagery of the fights and the hot m/m/m sex scene made me dive into the story. The main characters also helped. There's no way the reader didn't sympathize with Dane and Steele's characters. But the promising start does not extend to the rest of the story.

My main problem with the story happens when Dane, undercover to investigate Steele and his club, tells him personal information about his life that can break his cover. How can an experienced police officer who has participated in several operations can risk his cover like this? I know he is attracted by Steele but he's a professional. I know that for some, that won't be a major problem but it made me see other details in the story that hadn't been given enough attention and that ultimately diminished my enjoyment. However, I don't regret reading Punch Back. The story is interesting and it was nice to know a new author.
