After the death of her controlling grandmother, Sheila is determined to regain her life and really make it her own. Her first step on that path is to change the house that she inherited. When local contractor Easton Hales sets sight on his prospective client, he knows that he has way more plans in his head for her than just the work she wants done to her porch. But now he has the issue of convincing Sheila that he truly wants her and that she isn't the plain jane she's convinced she is. For Sheila, this is an amazing way to start her new life. But what about the future? Do they even have one?

This was a good short story. It had what felt like a lot of story for the size of the book, and good characters. I think I was most surprised by how tame it was compared to the suggestive title it has. You want Sheila to succeed at stepping out of her grandmother's shadow and make the life she wants, and Easton seems like the perfect guy for her. Like I said, this is a good book, I just had a bit of trouble getting into the story since it wasn't really what I was expecting. From the title and the publishers description I think I was waiting for the really hot sex scenes, that never showed up.
