Blake Linden, tough Green Beret, had a code that he would not fall in love, let alone, marry. He chose to always hide his feelings. That all changed when he set eyes on Rachel Kenyon. He loves the way she never requests attention, even going out of the way to help someone on their wedding day. She has so many good qualities that fascinate him. While everything about her practically drives him crazy, her father was a different story, preferring she never marry him. She was the kind of woman that could render him meaningless with just one little stare. Rachel couldn't be more in love with Blake. Even though her father wanted her to marry someone else, a man with money, Rachel chose to marry the man she loved. Blake was her choice but heading into a jungle for their honeymoon, amid drug dealers, and flying bullets, wasn't really any part of the festivities. When things heat up, only time will tell if they will stay happy in love.

Wildcat is a story that this reader utterly enjoyed. I liked the way Blake was fashioned as being someone genuine. He could hide his feelings one minute, then turn sincere and compassionate, the next, by displaying his emotions for Rachel. The writing is tight and allows this reader to keep abreast of the situations surrounding Blake and Rachel, along with the involvement with her father. With interesting players, Arlene Knowell pens a story well worth the read. The love between Rachel and Blake shines throughout the pages. It is indeed a jungle tour of events, with some delicious love scenes along the way, bringing the pages to light. This high adrenalin read engages this reader. Everything was composed, and emerged, as if the audience was actually watching it displayed live.
